The Pegasus Centre is a wonderful facility, centred on a purpose-built, BHS-accredited, Riding School and Livery stable, surrounded by acres of grassland.
We are committed to providing excellent opportunities for participation in equestrian and other leisure pursuits and for the development of skills. We believe in 'ability', not 'disability', and encourage everyone who comes to the Pegasus Centre to discover talents they may not have known they had and to develop their skills and confidence.
In our Riding School our instructors, staff and volunteers are dedicated to ensuring that all our riders receive a high standard of professional tuition that is tailored to suit their personal capabilities and help them achieve their potential. Equally importantly we want all our riders to enjoy their experience and have fun!
The Pegasus Centre has a permanent Orienteering Course that provides an ideal opportunity to learn about a sport that challenges both mind and body. You need to find your way around a series of marker points using map-reading skills.
The design of our course means that it is suitable for everyone - including those with learning difficulties.

Geocaching is a new outdoor activity that is taking the world by storm.
A geocache is something hidden somewhere on Earth and the activity involves trying to find the hidden items using a GPS device such as a smart phone to find the GPS coordinates. There are estimated to be over 2 million active geocaches and over 6 million geocachers worldwide. At the Pegasus Centre we can introduce you to this exciting new activity and help you become a geocacher!
Dog Agility Training
The indoor arena at the Pegasus Centre is an ideal, all-weather venue for dog agility training and is used by the popular and successful Raven River Dog Agility Group, led by Rebecca Ashworth.
Dog agility training sessions currently take place on Monday mornings, Tuesday evenings and Sunday evenings, with sessions suitable for both novice and experienced dogs. In addition there are regular compeitions and social activities.

Pony Club Activities
Every Saturday at the Pegasus Centre we hold Pony Club sessions. Part of the long-established and highly-respected Pony Club of Great Britain, the Pegasus Centre Pony Club provides a great opportunity for young people who do not own their own horse to learn all about horses in a structured but fun way. Pony Club Members get the opportunity to learn about the care of horses, to ride and to gain badges demonstrating the knowledge and skills they have acquired.
With this contract, we provide stabling but all the care of the horse rests with the owner.
The Yard will provide the Owner with a stable in which to keep their Horse and a field in which to turn their Horse out during the day (weather permitting), as well as bedding and haylage. The Owner is responsible for all day to day care of the Horse, including mucking out, turning the Horse out to the field and bringing the Horse in from the field and feeding of the Horse on a daily basis.
